The following schedule is only a guideline as flexibility is needed in order to meet the needs of the children in my care. My goal is to provide a balance between active and quiet play, and have a general routine that the children can depend on providing a safe feeling in this environment. Infants are cared for according to their schedule.
6:30 - 8:30 Children arrive, hand washing, breakfast
8:30 - 9:45 Various activities/choices, preschool
9:45 - 10:15 Snack
10:15 - 11:00 Large motor activities (music, outside)
11:00 - 12:00 Free play, sensory, books, etc.
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch
12:30 - 1:00 Clean-up, preparing for rest time, story
1:00 - 3:00 Rest
3:00 - 3:30 Snack
3:30 - 5:00 Outside, free play
Preschool activities may include circle time, art, manipulatives, music, introduction to alphabet, letters, colors, etc.
